The bus cum taxi terminal is being planned to be the centralised transportation centre for the northern region of Malaysia and to cater for local and outbound destinations such as Hakyai, Bangkok to the north and Kuala Lumpur, Johor Baharu and Singapore to the south.

This development is expected to complement with other public amenities such as Bazar Perdana which has been launched and currently under construction and the proposed 2km monorial system serving the city centre of the township. It aims to provide convenient linkages to business community and residents of Bandar Perda and other major towns.
