Bandar Perda is also situated at the proposed transasia railway route linking Singapore from the South passing through Peninsular Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia right up to Kunming China.

Aseania Development Sdn Bhd constantly obtains input from experts and in consultation with local planning authorities to fine-tune the masterplan for the entire township in line with its theme as " City of 21st Century".

Bandar PERDA has been planned and designed with the latest "intelligent " infrastructure and facilities and as a futuristic one-stop integrated regional centre of the Indonesia - Malaysia - Thailand Growth Triangle (IMT-GT).

It is envisaged that Bandar PERDA will become the administrative and financial centre of the Northern Region of Malaysia because of its strategic location to the highly congested Penang Island and the Industrial parks in the mainland.

The three phase integrated development of the 456 acres (186 hectares) would be undertaken over a period of about ten years.

The hi-tech township will be equipped with following distinct features:

  1. Bandar PERDA is equipped with fibre-optic telecommunication system operated and maintained by Celcom. The extensive communication system will allow residents to work, shop and do everything from the computer terminal at home.
  2. The township will be serviced by the region's first electric monorail in a move to circumvent traffic congestion and ensure a pollution-free environment. The 2 kilometer monorail can serve up to 3,000 people every hour and will eventually be linked to the state's proposed light rail transit system.
  3. "GARDEN CITY" Concept. Up to 20% of this township are made up of beautifully landscaped gardens, lush green parks and shimmering water fountains. And at sun down, the city will into a dazzling display of lights.
  4. "ASEANIA CITY" This massive cosmopolitan covering 40% of Bandar Perda will be the focal point of the IMT-GT region.

    It offers the best shopping, hotel, convention and exhibition facilities in the region. Aseania City will feature the biggest and most modern convention cum exhibition centre that can accommodate some 10,000 people.

    International standard hotels from the most indigenous hotel chains of the Asean region, the region's biggest mall with its three-in-one concept of retail, theme park, convention centre, an ultra modern hospital and an integrated bus and taxi terminals.

    The entire city would be pedestrian-friendly with lots of open space and gardens' for recreation. To enhance the concept, an under-ground network of roads will be built and ample car-parking lots made available to allow residents the option of using the city's monorail system.
  5. The region's biggest ice district cooling facility will be built in Bandar Perda which supply comfort cooling and chilled water to the commercial and administrative building of the township. The RM 72 Million cooling plant, to be developed by Aseania Linear District Cooling Sdn Bhd is expected to be operational by the third quarter of 2002.

When fully completed, the township is projected to have 8,000 residential units with an estimated population of 40,000 and an estimated working population of 70,000

The township is situated within distance from major industrial parks established residential schemes and educational institutions which will provide population catchment of more than 2.2 million people and skilled manpower with growing purchaser power.
